My aunt is in the nursing home and i urgently need to get life insurance for her. But alot of companies will not cover her because she is already in the nursing home.Do anyone know of any companies that will cover someone in this situation. Please Help!!!!

Globe Life and Mutual of Omaha will BOTH give her "guaranteed issue" policies, if she’s under 76 years old.

The catch is, you have to pay every month for two years. And, of course, coverage is limited to a maximum payout of $10,000.

If she dies before you’ve paid in for two full years, they don’t pay out. And if she lives four years, then you’ve paid in $10,000, and would have been better off putting the money in the bank.

So guaranteed issue policies, are pretty much a bet that she’ll die at least two years from now, but not more than five.

I am doing a project for a business proposal and I just need a ball park figure for what the cost of general liability insurance would be. The business is just me working as an Interior Designer out of a home office with no employees.

Interior designer, including professional liability, inland marine coverage for the ’stuff’ you buy for your clients, etc, should run you around $4,000 a year for a package policy, NOT including auto or workers comp, IF your gross receipts are under $150,000 a year.

I know that the MRI places can charge $15-1600 or more and that the insurance companies don’t pay that much. What do insurance companies pay?

And if you don’t have insurance, how much do you pay the MRI place?

Most health insurances WILL cover standard Radiographic tests such as CT scans, X-rays and MRI’s. As far as not having health insurance, most hospitals and maybe doctors offices will offer a financial aid for people who do not have health insurance. MRI’s are used for diagnostic purposes so, if you need one and your doctor has ordered one, then I don’t see why you would have a hard time getting your health insurance to cover it, or to get financial aid for one. If you can’t get financial aid to assist you, than the MRI place or hospital will be able to work a payment plan out with you. Good Luck!

I am considering getting in the insurance field but would like to know a little more before going through licensing. I am trying to establish long term residual income and was told by selling home insurance @ 30years a pop given my clients stay with me I could achieve this. I am bilingual and can generate leads and understand some agents can even work from home part time. Can someone please explain a common pay scale on say a $100,000 home policy that goes for the full 30 year term. Thanks

You’re paid based on the premium of the homeowners policy, not the coverage amount. Premiums for a $100,000 policy vary wildly throughout the country, by location, and you could be looking at a $300 policy, or a $3,000 policy. Standard homeowners commisisons are around 17% or 20% of the premium. So if the policy is $500, your cut is $100. A year. For every year they renew.

Person hit me and neither of us want to report it to our auto insurance. They don’t trust that I won’t report it to the insurance after I get paid from him.

What should I do?

If you feel he is at fault I would just report it to your insurance. You hear too many stories of people getting screwed over because they tried to be nice to the person that smashed their car. If this guy strings you along for a month or two you will find it difficult to do anything legally at that point.
